I am Chair of UKBET, a UK registered charity and a registered international NGO in Bangladesh. Since we started the charity in 1992 we have built the capacity of over 2000 school teachers through English language teaching training.

In 2013 we changed our priorities and now focus on doing everything we can to mitigate the appalling impact of child labour. Over the last year we have piloted a programme for children engaged in hazardous occupations. These children are amongst the most excluded in the world risking their health and losing their childhood in dangerous work everyday of their lives.
