Facilitation and non managerial supervision

My clients (see list below) all have one thing in common – they want to find new ways of working that bring out the best in themselves and other people.

I offer individual non-managerial support and supervision as one-off sessions or a series of meetings.  My approach is informed by 20 years as a college Principal and attachment based therapy.  The group methods I use in my facilitation work most frequently are seen in the areas below.

Open Space

The Open Space process excites maximum participation, self-management, enthusiasm and focus. Open Space is used for consultation, organisational development and planning as well as routine meetings. Any number of people can attend and Open Space meetings last from a couple of hours to several days, depending on what is needed. For more information about how the process works have a look at www.openspaceworld.org

Knowledge Café

Knowledge Café is a great way for people to share information, develop ideas and reach conclusions. It serves as a lively alternative to presentations and written reports. Discussion and intelligence builds through changing rounds of small group discussion, finally distilling conclusions to be reviewed by the whole group.

Appreciative Inquiry

The underlying assumption in Appreciative Inquiry is the belief that every individual, team and organisation has experience of working exceptionally well. It is a particular way of asking questions and envisioning the future that fosters positive relationships and builds on what is best in a person, a situation, or an organisation.
